Highlighted hair, turned out really bad....had some melting when i did it?

So i got my hair highlighted yesterday...well i had some melting and lost a lot of hair, and the blonde is really not what i watned.....YIKES!!!!!! If I put dark color over it will i have more melting....HELP ME PLEASE

Did you do this to yourself, or did you go to a salon? If the latter, go back and raise a fuss. You should AT LEAST get your $$ back. If you did it to yourself (and I did this once, too, with a home perm) take a deep breath and go get it all chopped off -- really. It will grow back and you won't have all that damage to deal with.

color opps for 10 dollars...takes out recently died hair and turns it bak 2 ur old color.u can use it the same day...

If your hair is melting please do not touch it.

If you are very unhappy you can go to a salon with a colorist who specializes in color correction.

If that is too expensive, you can cut it short.

If neither of those options are good, just let it go for a while and do some deep conditioning. Don't do any color by yourself for at LEAST six weeks. Let your hair recover.

Edit: Color Oops doesn't work if you've lightened your hair. From their website: If your post-process hair color is lighter than your natural color, your natural color has been chemically removed and can not be restored.
