Go back to a hairdresser because his is too difficult of a job to handle. If you try to put dye on it, the highlighted part won't take the same and you will still have two different colors. A professional can take the color of the highlights out completely and then you can decide if you want it dyed all over.

NO! You just got your hair done. You will ruin your hair if you do anything to it. Leave them in about 3 weeks, they will wash out some, you might like it more anyhow. If you don't then go back to the salon for lowlights to cancel them out.

well go back to the salon and tell them you don't want them anymore, and ask them to give you a shampoo that gets all those nasty chemicals out, it makes them fade faster, i don't remember what it was i got, but you use it for 2-3 weeks, then you get your hair deep conditioned and you re-dye your hair. your hair get pretty gross after that but you'll just have to treat it nicer and condition it and what not.
