well it depends how natural you want it to look.

a very natural color would be just a lighter brown, but because the color wouldn't be so dramatic, you could make it stand out by making it more chunky (NOT stripey...i hate stripes). a thinner highlight wouldn't be that noticeable.

you could also do more of a caramel color, but i'm not sure how you would like it. your color is very pretty, and you want to enhance it, not destroy it. anything too light wont look good, because of the tone and level of the brown.

plus, you have GORGEOUS eyes...dark hair really makes them stand out! anything too light wont look good with your hair color OR your skin tone.

if you were my client, and i were to do your hair, i would say don't highlight it, but if you do, go for a natural looking color (like the lighter brown i was talking about earlier). again, depending on how natural/un-natural you want it to look will determine how exactly it's highlighted...thinner highlights would be less noticeable and more natural looking, but thicker ones (again, NOT STRIPES! just thick highlights...i can't really explain it) would be more dramatic, more of a change, but still classy because the colors would work well together.

Subtle highlights, the whole idea of highlights is that they highlight your hair. So most likely, chestnut, amber, maple, light brown or dark blonde like deep honey highlights will look good.

Very pretty picture and nice hair.. I like carmel too or even a redish color not bright red but a highlight with some red in it would look nice. Or you could do black/red my daughter had this done her hair is a little lighter then yours and it looks awesome. You have the same hair colour as me, and i founf that purple highlights look pretty awesome.

But since you want a classier look, try a brown that is a few shades lighter than the rest of your hair. The less obvious it is that you dyed it, the better and classier it will look.
